My husband and I went hiking here the other day and had the best time! This is definitely one of our favorites now! It's 1.5 miles to the loop and the loop itself is about 1.5 miles. There weren't any look-outs - you're mostly surrounded by trees the entire time. The path is narrow (which I kind of enjoy!) and frequently over slabs of rock. Large portions are flat, but with the occasional incline (nothing too steep).
Great place for a 7 mile or 13 mile run or bike. Challenging terrains.

Very cool Park within drivable distance from St Louis. Has nice hiking trails where you can find fossils and had good picknic sites.
Very nice hiking experience, I did the Chubb Trail ,very interesting met other hikers, bikers and runners.
