I lived in this trailer park for YEARS!!!! My mom moved my brother and I into this neighborhood since It was close to her job at the time and was at low payments. Over the years we began to learn how Corrupt the management is. The Manager Velta, has the audacity to accept pain medications, food stamps, and some drugs as rent. She harassed my family numerous times after her granddaughter and I had a confrontation about her granddaughter getting into my mothers payment records and going through our leasing agreement. Her family is known to harass anyone that doesn't try to bow to them pretty much. Not to mention almost all of the trailers in there are Condemnable. She allows her son and nephew to go into these trailers with out a license and 'repair'. In the last year, 2 of the trailers they had worked on caught on fire. One with a child in the room the flames started, and the other with a family of 7 in the house. In fact the trailer that Caught on fire with the Child in the room was My Trailer. So At least everyone made it out safe. The Park is now under new management as of 11 '13. thank god! But they need to take the manager out of office because things wont get better for the park. She is not the kind of person you want running a neighborhood with kids. I can recall at least 5 instances living there, where she; her son, and a niece of hers tried hitting me and some other kids in the park with her car. So to the new owners, bad decision keeping her there. You're going to end up losing money if you don't keep her on a tight tight tight leash on her or y'all will probably end up with a lawsuit with how she is. And by my understanding, the new owners are Lawyers their selves. Which is a good thing. For your part. But for the tenants living in that park. Hopefully y'all at least follow the law and get Velta to do the same.

To the new owners, just fire that woman. She is not a good person at all. Make her clean up her mess and get a real manager in there. Someone who will actually obey the rules and laws of the Park and Jefferson County.

The trailer park manager is a slumlord

And for the record the trailer I lived in that caught on fire. Caught because Velta allowed her nephew to work on the electricity and he put the wrong cables together on the Hot water heater and it caught on fire. Never in the 13 years I lived in that trailer, did it have a single problem other than the floors. But that's trailers. It was in perfect living condition and was safe when my mother and I moved out of there almost 2 years ago. She has made sure everything worked. And that it was safe since I was going to try and buy the trailer after we left. But I was too late before Velta sent in her goon squad.
